Imagine you put in 2 hours once a week growing food with new friends and take a veg box every time. Depending on the land you could also produce mushrooms, eggs, or herbs for making your own medicines.

You also get invited to local events, where everyone swaps and shares seeds, seedlings, tools and growing tips.

Growing as a group, sharing a watering rota, covering for each other and taking weeks off, makes this 1000 times easier than your own allotment or garden plot. And it’s great for your health, your food bills, your kids and the planet!

What’s so great about offering to share your land or joining a growing group?

Growing fresh, organic food outdoors with other people is brilliant for physical, mental and social health.
If you’re offering to share your land, it feels positive to give other people some space to grow food! And people working on your land makes your space more beautiful.
Group growing is fun, easy and everyone naturally learns from each other.
From a weekly 2 hour session, you could take home a veg box every time!
If you bring your kids along with you, they make new friends with other kids in the group, learn how to grow their own food, spend more time in nature and discover loads of wiggly worms and bugs!
Swapping seeds and seedlings with your community makes everything cheaper, easier and more local.
Producing your own food means fresh and healthy food, zero food miles, no packaging and less supermarket buying!

Joining We Grow includes a small fee – if this is an issue for you don’t worry! We offer a number of growing projects that are free to join, with funding for growing materials and gardening workshops for beginners. Check out our map for more details.
