Please check these first before you head to the map
Listing your land?
Please check that your plot meets these essentials:
- A 45m2 plot, or small areas dotted around land or fence lines making up 45m2, gives 3 people or families a vegbox every week. In a larger space, more people could join you.
- The plot gets 4 hours sunlight per day minimum.
- Water is accessible to the group watering the plot.
- The plot is outdoor accessible. A gate or path to a plot is fine. Going through a house or building to a plot isn’t suitable.
- Feeling ok with people gardening at your land weekly for 2-3 hours, and someone watering daily during dry spells.
We Grow membership gets you:
- Your land listed on our map. Your name, address and details arn’t on the map (we use a code). We filter people requesting to view your land to those who match your preferences.
- Guidance for your growing group.
- Connecting your group with other local groups for the swap and share meet-ups.
Searching the map for land and a group to join?
Essentials to viewing land and joining a growing group:
- You request to view land you see on our map. You’ll be able to view land if it matches yours and the landowners preferences.
- We Grow gives suggestions but it’s up to you and your group to decide how to organise and grow food together, including rotas and how much money you each agree to put into getting the plot going.
We Grow membership gets you:
- Connecting you with land that suits your preferences and growing groups you could join.
- Guidance at the start of your growing group.
- Connecting your group with other local groups for regular swap and share meet-ups.
